She is a multi-talented artist who employs her skills to teach adults and children more about their rich heritage, as well as instilling awareness in the community about thriving indigenous culture.
Her vibrant hand painted work, including jewellery, terracotta vessels, graphic canvasses, emu eggs and clothing, has been recognised internationally for it's technical brilliance and visual appeal.
From exhibiting in Harrods, London, displaying woven rugs in the European Trade Fair, Germany, and being commissioned by QANTAS for limited edition prints, Leeanne has applied her skills to communicating the intricasies of her culture.
"I love to communicate through painting" says Leeanne. "My main inspiration is explaining our Aboriginal heritage in a contemporary, pictorial way and transcending racial barriers. Teaching anybody who wants to learn is also my motivation."
